Description

Agave havardiana, also known as Havard's Agave, is a striking succulent native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It is characterized by its broad, gray-green leaves with reddish-brown spines along the margins. The leaves are arranged in a compact rosette, creating a bold, architectural presence. Agave havardiana is relatively cold-hardy compared to some other agave species. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. It is highly drought-tolerant. After many years, it produces a tall flowering stalk with yellow flowers, after which the plant dies. Ensure protection from excessive moisture, especially during winter. It is a great addition to rock gardens or xeriscapes.
